An epitaph is a text honouring a person’s life and how that person would most like to be remembered. Our goal isn’t to be remembered as the largest agency with the most clients or the biggest billings, our goal is to be the best agency at “making good growth, every-day”.

Mike Rumble,

Leading large, national clients including TELUS and TD over the past 20 years, Mike Rumble left big agencies in 2018 to launch Epitaph Group. From awareness to performance, Mike’s focus has always been strictly on the consumer and developing experiences that create meaningful connections between brands and human beings.

David Jowett,

David has been a prominent figure in the global media agency community, having run Vision 7 Media (Cossette) in Canada, MediaCom in the UK, as well as more entrepreneurial roles at No Fixed Address in Canada and digital performance technology DAC in Europe.  David believes that in an increasingly complex world, simplicity, combined with custom-built business solutions, represents a powerful proposition for clients and their brands.

Heidi Krause,
SVP, Digital and Operations

Heidi has over 15 years in the media industry, with a focus on full-funnel digital strategy, data and technology. She is a digital-first marketer with a passion to find new and innovative ways that break through the clutter in today’s media landscape, while holding every execution to meaningful metrics. Heidi is a collaborative partner who strives to be an extension of every client’s team, focusing on problems and solutions that truly understand a client’s business objective.

Emily Clarey, Head of Strategy

Emily joined Epitaph from Snap Inc. where she led the financial services, automotive, alc. bev and telco verticals for the Canadian market. In addition to her time at Snap, she comes with 12 years of experience in strategy, social and performance media in her previous positions at Verizon Media and Microsoft. Emily’s specialty is helping brands large and small, drive both advocacy and conversion by looking at the consumer journey through a human lens.

Mike de’Oliveira, Head of Data & Digital Platforms

Turning his personal passion for data and technology into a full-time job, Mike has been providing clients with programmatic solutions since its inception. The trust and respect he has received throughout his career from large, global clients like Coca Cola and IKEA, has also inspired Mike to share his unique abilities with an emerging generation of digital specialists in media and marketing. In February 2021, Mike joined Epitaph as Head of Digital Platforms and Data, Mike continues to build custom solutions for clients who are looking to better understand consumers, their motivations and outcomes through data-driven strategies.

Jessika Rousseau-Francis, Director, Finance & Procurement

Jessika joins Epitaph with 15 years of experience in finance, specific to media and digital advertising. Overseeing budget controls and vendor management, Jessika has managed billing and compliance requirements for some of Canada’s largest advertisers including and most recently Rogers Communications at Red Magnet, an Omnicom Agency. Working closely with clients and aligning on a workflow process that is compatible with their internal systems, Jess ensures each partner of Epitaph’s is well set-up for billing consistency, transparency, and accuracy, where it is most important.
